Saturday, June 7 | All Day | Free Admission
As we approach 31 years of brewing beer, building community, and calling Houston our home, we recall fondly the years past. By now, those years have added up to decades – each with a distinct personality.
Way back in the 1980s, the idea of Saint Arnold was only a test brew, as our eventual founder Brock was developing his passion for homebrewing… in his dorm room at Rice.
In the 90s, Saint Arnold was born as we shipped our first kegs of Amber Ale on June 9, 1994.
The 2000s marked the American craft beer boom and the starting point for many of the beers we still brew today. This is when many of you enjoyed your first craft beer.
Fast forward to 2025, and it’s fun for us to look back at how the early times became today. For our 31st Anniversary, we’re celebrating Saint Arnold through the decades.
Our 31st Anniversary is a celebration of the 80s, 90s, and 2000s. Join us on Saturday, June 7 for live music, entertainment, commemorative glassware, and more. Of course, we’ve got a few special brews planned too – we’ll let you in on the details as the date draws near.
Best of all, no tickets are required to join in on the fun. Our Beer Garden & Restaurant will open at 11:00 AM, and admission is free, free, free!
Get ready to sing along from afternoon to evening – we’ll have a DJ to kick things off and three cover bands playing your favorite songs from each decade. Here’s the music schedule:

After nearly 31 years of Saint Arnold, you know Amber Ale as our original beer – the one that started it all back in 1994. And while it’s true the Amber Ale you enjoy today is the same beer we brewed at the end of that year, there’s actually an even earlier recipe.
The very first batch of Amber Ale was the first time we’d scaled up to a full production batch. Hops do not scale linearly, and that batch – while very tasty – was a bit hoppier than we wanted. We tweaked the recipe on Batch 2 to scale back the hops to their current level – giving us the perfectly balanced Amber Ale recipe we still brew today.
For our 31st Anniversary though, we’re throwing it allllll the way back to that very first batch. We’re bumping up the hops a bit and brewing the Original 1994 Batch 1 Recipe of Amber Ale. This special release will only be available at the Saint Arnold Beer Garden & Restaurant.
Along with this limited run of Amber Ale, we’ve got a few other celebratory brews in the works:
31st Anniversary IPA
A Collaboration with Yakima Chief Hops
31st Anniversary Lager
Cold Fermented Hoppy Lager
Mango Art Car IPA
Our Flagship IPA with Fresh Mango Puree
Cherry Brandy Lawnmower
German-Style Kölsch Aged in Cherry Brandy Barrels
Each of these special beers will be available at Saturday’s 31st Anniversary Party (while supplies last) and as a part of Sunday’s Special Rare Cellar Tasting.
