Our biggest and boldest beer yet is now available.
Diving into darkness, you can gain insight into your potential. Allow the absence of light, and truly find what it means to have it. How can we push the limits of our brewhouse? Our house Saint Arnold yeast? Ourselves?
Back when we released Divine Reserve No. 18, this is how we described the process of designing the beer. We loved it. It was the biggest and boldest beer we had made.
Then we saw some bourbon barrels.
Did you think we could resist? After aging for 19 months in Woodford Reserve bourbon barrels, Bishop’s Barrel No. 24 is finally ready – and it is unabashedly opulent.
BB24 tastes grandiose in all aspects; from the notes of rich figs, fresh vanilla, ripe strawberries, toasted oak, and dark chocolate, to the way its dense, silky texture grips softly to the palate. Yet even with such bold flavors, this beer is remarkably balanced and drinkable – even at 14.7% ABV.
Bishop’s Barrel No. 24 is available now. A limited amount of bottles can be found in grocery and liquor stores. It is also on tap at select bars and restaurants around town. As usual, some places will choose to save their stash to debut later at a special event.
