Each year during harvest, our brewers enjoy a trip to Germany to select hops. It helps us connect to the ingredients and culture that goes into brewing beer. The hops they choose – over 5,000 miles away – are the very ones used to craft the Saint Arnold beer in your fridge. This year, we want to bring the same sense of connection to you, right here in Houston.

This year our Oktoberfest is bigger than ever. For 2024, we’re bringing Germany to you with a two week long celebration at our Beer Garden & Restaurant.

We’ll start with a Kickoff Celebration, end with our annual two day bash, and feature German inspired beer and food on our menu the whole way in between. These Small Batch beers are being brewed just for Oktoberfest season at our Beer Garden to highlight German brewing traditions. You won’t find these releases anywhere else.

Here’s a sneak peak at the beer and food that’ll be featured on our Beer Garden menu during Oktoberfest season.

German Language Table
at Saint Arnold

What’s the ultimate tool for bringing people together? Beer of course! But a close second is language. On Wednesday, October 2, you can pair German beer with German language at the first ever Language Table event at our Beer Garden.

As a collaboration with Rice University’s Center for Languages & Intercultural Communication, we’ve added this special event to our Oktoberfest schedule so German speakers of all skill levels can chat with each other (about beer, presumably). There will be fluent German speakers onsite to help bridge any communication gaps.

We’ll begin at 5:30 PM, but feel free to arrive when you’re able. This isn’t a lesson, more a free flowing come-and-go event to meet others in the community who speak, or want to speak German. There’s no charge to participate.

The best part? This event pairs perfectly with our upcoming German-style Schwarzbier, conveniently being tapped the same day.

Wir hoffen, Sie hier zu sehen!

October 4 & October 5:
Oktoberfest Party at Saint Arnold

Our two week long celebration of German beer and food culminates with our annual weekend bash. As usual, we’ll have two days of celebration at our Beer Garden on Friday, October 4 and Saturday, October 5. Admission is free both days!

Each evening, our place will be rocking from 4:00 to 9:00 PM with high energy live music from Das Ist Lustig with Valina Polka, a special lineup of German-style beers, commemorative Oktoberfest mugs and t-shirts, and a whole slew of Oktoberfest activities.

On the beer front, our annual favorites Oktoberfest and Guten Tag will of course be on tap, alongside a full lineup of traditional styles. Get ready to enjoy a German-style Hefeweizen, a Festbier, a Helles, a German Pils, and a Schwarzbier on tap. The time and place for these beers is Oktoberfest at Saint Arnold!

Of course, make sure you wear your favorite dirndl or lederhosen to enter our costume contest and have a chance to be crowned King or Queen of Oktoberfest. Throughout the evening, we’ll also be hosting a stein hoisting contest and pretzel eating contest. Rich Saint Arnold prizes await the winners!

We hope to see you here to celebrate the Oktoberfest season!
